Top 5 Ways To Make Money With Affiliate Marketing

Today, I would like to talk about five ways to make more money from your affiliates' earnings. When I started doing affiliate marketing, I made zero dollars for a long time. I didn't make any money from my affiliate revenues. Zero. Well, it was a few cents here and there, like 25 cents per click or 50 cents per click or maybe even a dollar here and there for quality lead and, seriously, it wasn't a lot of money.

Of course, because you have to reach a certain ceiling. And I didn't touch that ceiling for a long time. Then, once I started making a little bit of money from the affiliate earnings, it was like I was getting $25 every month or every three months or so. So it took me a while to make money from affiliate marketing, but that was then and this is now.

I feel like I've learned a few tips and tricks along the way and I want to share them with you so that you can boost your affiliate marketing sales, which increases your revenue and then you can make even more money than before. So here are the five tips I have to offer you.

Write A Specific Content

The first step I want to give you is to write content specific to the link you want to promote. Let's say you have a product you like. Let's say it's a plug-in you like for your WordPress site and you're an affiliate for them and you want to promote it on your blog or YouTube or Facebook, Instagram, wherever.

How would you do it? Well, you write a specific message or content on this product about the plug-in you recommend. You could create a tutorial or case study, showing how it helped you in some way, how you saw the results, and that kind of blog post or video would be extremely informative. So writing this kind of content, very specific to each type of affiliate link you have, is a huge bonus if you want to start making money with that link. It's not enough to just write a single piece of content on your affiliate link; you have to write or create several different pieces of content that include your affiliate link, but that's just a good place to start.

So start with a guide or instruction manual that this person can use and will spread the word by clicking on your link, wanting to know more and, hopefully, registering and making sales.

Create Permanent Content That You Can Promote

The second tip is to create permanent content that you can promote and keep going for a long time. What is evergreen? It's content that you create once and for all and that can be used forever.

It is eternal. So it's not like the Instagram news has been updated. That kind of content would only be relevant for a month or two because let's face it: Instagram changes a lot. But if you're writing something that's a handy guide to Instagram articles, it may take a little longer because it's not too specific. It's not like breaking news. So up-to-date content is something that can last for years and years, and people will always find it useful.

That's what permanent content is and that's the kind of content you should create for your affiliate link. That's why one of the things I'm working on right now is the creation of your mailing list and the importance of creating that list.

And it's great. Why is that great? Because one of them is focusing on this product, and it's kind of like a case study that shows them exactly how it worked for me, and it's kind of like a reference guide, like a variety of things and desires, but it's also up to date. So this information is going to last a long time. I can continue to promote this content and attract even more people to it, which will result in even more sales. So it's important to create blog posts, videos or podcasts because they are permanent content.

Take The Help Of Social Media

Another tip to make you earn more money with your affiliate revenue is actually to promote your links on social media. You can promote your links on Instagram, which is quite difficult to do unless you have more than 10,000 subscribers, but you can promote them on Pinterest by creating specific pins for them. You can do this via Facebook by posting it on your Facebook page or, better yet, by simply commenting on your posting with the link or in Facebook groups, as long as the group rules allow it and you can also promote on Twitter.

The only thing you have to do, with an affiliate link you use or put anywhere, is to reveal that it is an affiliate link. So in most cases, you can do the same as with the affiliate hashtag, or in parentheses, just say affiliate. If you're commenting on a Facebook post, as I mentioned in a Facebook group, you'll want to say "here's my affiliate link", to make sure you always disclose that it's an affiliate link. You can't afford to disclose it.

It's FTC regulations, so it's against FTC regulations. Again, you can promote it on social media, and for some time now I've even had my Twitter feed, which goes through my links, and I've been promoting at least two affiliate links a day. You can easily do that. It's simple and clear. You can also promote your affiliate links through your mailing list. Did I mention that you should expand your mailing list? Well, you should. It's another way to enhance your community and you can occasionally promote through your mailing list.

Put A Little Warning At The Beginning Or End Of Your Email

Let's say you wanted to recommend a product that was like hey guys a few months ago, I discovered this product. It was amazing to me. I recommend it to you and you include the link and you say there's a free trial or something. Again, you have to specify that it's an affiliate link.

So, at the beginning or end of the email, you can put a small warning. This is a great way to make affiliate sales because people read your emails. They will take you seriously and it's a direct thing that you only recommend to them. It's a little more personal than when you're on your social media or a blog and people are more likely to click if you include it in your emails.

Try sending some of your affiliate links through your mailing list. But before you do this, be aware that some messaging platforms do not allow you to send affiliate links and that people have been kicked out of their platforms because they were sending affiliate links in their email.

Make sure you are familiar with the rules, terms, and conditions, etc. for your messaging platform before using this strategy and follow these guidelines. And if you are using a messaging platform that does not allow you to send affiliate links, you may want to consider leaving their platform and switching to another one.

Work With Companies That You Are Affiliated With

The last piece of advice I'd like to give you is to work with the companies you're affiliated with. So I'm affiliated with more than nine different companies, and I have good relationships with some of them. And when I say a very good relationship, I mean they paid to promote my blog or they improved my commission based on the work I was already doing for them or the content of my website and the recommendations I had already received.

They improve my commissions on that basis. So it's very important to work with companies if you want to make more money and if you feel stuck as if you're only making 50 cents per sale, which is not very good and you feel stuck, start working with a company. Start building a relationship with them and see what they can do for you. Maybe you'll write that blog post I mentioned that is informative. It's a how-to guide or a beginner's guide and you think it's a great blog post or content that maybe they could promote on their website or social media.

Send it to them. When you sign up to become an affiliate, you must have an affiliate manager and I know that I have an affiliate manager for all the programs I am affiliated with. So when you have that affiliate manager, all you have to do is say "Hi, I wrote this great blog post, and I was wondering if you could look at it and share it on your social media". They don't even get paid to promote it, but they might end up paying to promote it because they want people to sign up for their product.

They want people to use your link because they get more sales. So start working closely with companies. I'm telling you it will pay off eventually, and when the companies contact you to say hello if you've written something about us that we'd like to share. Make sure you always respond. I've received several of these e-mails and I always say yes.

Make Your Content Extremely Accessible

If you want to improve your sales, collaboration with the company is, therefore, a piece of good advice to follow. One more little piece of advice I would like to give you is to make your blog posts or any other content you create extremely accessible. So take one of your most popular articles or videos, etc., or content that is one of the basic elements of your blogger channel and link it to your homepage or sidebar if it's a blog. You can link it to your FAQ page, etc. You can also create a link to another site, but just as important to your business, and link it to your Twitter or your bio Instagram, etc. So it's not a one-time thing and it's kind of done.

You promoted it, now it's over. No, it's not over. You can link it to many places and many times on your website so that it's accessible to all your visitors and people always access it, no matter what happens, because you never know what someone is going to learn from your website or who might land on it, and then learn something and decide they want to start a blog or a YouTube channel, etc. You're not going to be able to do that.

You can then direct them to a company that you're affiliated with. And hopefully, you honestly believe in that business, because that's your name and your online reputation. So make sure you choose to affiliate with companies you know, like and trust. And be a user of their product as well, but make your posts of all kinds accessible, and then you can refer others to a company that you believed in, but of which you are also an affiliate and receive a commission.

All right, so those are my five quick and easy tips, plus this bonus tip, but you deserve a little something extra.
